1. You will meet some of the best people you've ever met in your life, free spirits who all want the same as you. To experience this world, be free and have fun. Some will be lifelong friends and a place on the map to visit later on.
2. Immersing yourself into other cultures will really open your eyes to the world and you will feel a deeper connection to your fellow human, appreciating the differences between us all.
3. Even though it's very cliché, you will 'Find Yourself'. You will find the challenges and opportunities will test and shape you along the way.
4. The pure happiness you feel of being free of a routine, of a job, of a timetable. Just being able to wake up and do what you want to do, see what you want to see and be who you want to be.
5. The Adventure. We all crave new experiences and Travel is the best way to do that. Even if it scares you, do it. You won't regret it.
6. It will boost your confidence. Nothing will make you feel more capable and exhilarated after you've got on that plane and started your adventure. Don't let the fear hold you back, once you've done it, You'll feel amazing and you'll be able to plan anything and travel anywhere. Also being in a hostel situation not knowing anyone, You'll be able to speak to anyone, make new friends and find your way across the world, even if you don't speak the language well.
7. Being away from Home will make you appreciate where you've come from, how lucky you are and appreciate all your family and friends there for you at home.
8. You will have amazing stories to tell and memories to keep forever. From the good, to the bad, to the funny and the sad.
9. You will learn so much. Whether that is a new language, how to cook Thai food, how to surf, the history of the country you're in or the conservation of coral and sea creatures on your scuba diving adventure. You will come back an enriched person.
10. Travelling will change you and you will forever be a Nomad in heart, Always dreaming of the next adventure...

Nice post you are rights after living abroad it is hard to call anywhere Home again. You will definitely appreciate what you have if you travel then again some people live so simply I think Americans really have become way over materialistic. Enjoyed reading your post. Karen
ReplyDeleteYeah it's so true! I was quite materialistic before i went travelling, but once i got back i realised i could live out of my lil bag and i felt unhappy with so many things around me! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. Thank You :)
