"How to be happy? Decide every morning that you are in a good mood."
When you're feeling down in the dumps, it can be hard to get yourself out of it. That's why I think it is so important to have a happy list.
A list to remind you of all the things that make you feel good. I recommend you to write your own Happy List but you can also take mine as inspiration. If you're not feeling your 100% best, try some of the things on my list and see if they get you vibrating at your highest level.
- Go for a walk in nature.
- Write in your journal. Get all those thoughts out your head.
- Have a pamper session. Deep condition your hair, paint your nails, do a face mask. Make yourself feel good on the outside.
- Put your speaker on and blast your favourite music.
- Listen to a self-growth podcast.
- Put on your favourite movie.
- Invite your friends round for some company and a chat session.
- Make yourself your favourite meal.
- Read a book that makes you feel good or escape.
- Take a nap if you're feeling exhausted.
- Meditate for at least 5 minutes to calm your mind.
- Catch up on one of your favourite YouTubers videos.
- Get creative, draw, paint, whatever gets your creative juices flowing.
- Watch motivational, mind-shift videos.
- Practice your spirituality, speak to your God.
- Go out for a coffee with a loved one.
- Clean your house, make your space comfortable and peaceful.
- Go for a swim.
- Have a cuddle with the one you love.
- Stretch out your body, move, dance, get active.
- Write down 5 things you are grateful to have in your life right now.
- Have a cuddle with your pet, give them some love and attention and you'll get it right back!
- Detox from social media. Stop aimlessly scrolling through content and detach.
- Breathe. Deep, intentional breaths.
- Smile.
When I'm having a hard day, everything on this list can instantly make me feel a bit better. I hope this can help you in some way.
