When You're Feeling Broken

Saturday 12 August 2017

We all go through periods of sadness, worthlessness, pain, heartbreak and loneliness. Some for longer then others. During those times, sometimes it can be hard to see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The feelings can succumb you, sometimes leaving you to think there is no way out and the thoughts of worthlessness and hate can out weigh the positive.

I want you to remember that during those times, you are worth way more than your thoughts. There is no good without bad and all bad experiences you may currently be having will be lessons you can learn from in the future.

Don't think bad of yourself for feeling this way, your emotions are valid. It is okay to have a bad day, bad week, bad month, bad year. If we were always in positive, happy places, we would never appreciate the good or have any life experiences which can transform the way we think and rebuild you to an even better version of yourself.

Don't forget about all the good you have in your life. It's easy when something terrible happens and you sink into a dark place, to forget all you have going for you, everyone you have there for you and all the things that you enjoy. Remember not all is bad and there is always some light in the dark.

Life is a series of ups and downs. We take lessons from the bad and we revel in the good. Never forget your purpose for being here and the people that truly love you. Life is an amazing gift and there is always a way.

"Without the dark, you will never see the stars."
